In short, a sex text operator will work for a platform and pretend to be any given persona and you respond to messages from mostly men. It’s rare I came across a female using these platforms.
A persona has a bio, tagline, picture and name. You will usually see what they do for work, such as waitress and an area they live, like Birmingham.
Some companies have notes on the persona, likes and dislikes that are important, maybe they are a grandmother.
The pay is between 3p and 15p per message and many can make around £300 a week. I have done it myself many times so I know it is possible.
Just depends when you are available as sometimes, especially during the day are minimal messages so you might barely get any.
If sex text jobs are not quite it for you, there are also tarot text jobs, usually with the same companies too. I’ll discuss these also as I have done them all.
You will be self-employed and wanted to point out that you will need to register with HMRC as a sole trader. If you are claiming benefits, you will need to let them know of changes to your income. Adultwork needs to be declared like any other work.

How To Become A Sex Text Operator
There are many sites around the internet that offer a text-based job, just search terms like ‘sex text jobs’ or ‘adult texting jobs’ and you will see several companies come up.
When searching for sex text jobs, be mindful that the pay needs to match your expectations and after a couple of weeks, you can figure out if it is worth your time or not.
For me, I can text fast enough that I can make £10 an hour minimum when I am on the ball. But some days I take it slower and earn less. This was something I wanted to point out in my how to become a sex text operator post.
Some only take on new texting operators a few times a year so you might need to keep checking for places that pay well.
One place I check frequently is MSE List of adultwork jobs. They regularly post things in here and also have people answering questions.
If you have never done it before, there are platforms dedicated to helping those that have never done it before. 1-2-1 Chat is the biggest but they do offer low pay, but check them out anyway as they are a good starter company to work with.

How can you sign up?
Firstly, locate the site you want to work with. Generally, they have a join me button somewhere on the page and from there you can fill out the form or email them and they will get back to you with the next steps.
You will be asked to do some test messages through email or via skype, depending on the company. You will pretend to be a persona they give you and you respond to the customer.
So when you apply to work for one of these sites, you are asked a number of questions to act in a scenario that you are talking to one of these men. I do have tips for applying to be a sex text operator.
From there, they will get in touch with you and confirm whether you have been successful or not. Then you will need to provide proof of your age, usually a passport or driving licence, something with your picture on and date of birth.
Some companies will offer training, especially on their platform, whilst others will give you a training manual and send you on your way. Also, you will likely be monitored on your first number of messages and they will give you relevant feedback throughout.
Once you have passed the messages that are being checked, off you go on your merry way!
Then you will be on your own. I do have tips for being a sex text operator and outlines most of the dos and do not when working for them.
What do you need to do it?
Some companies will ask you to work from a computer or laptop whilst others allow you to work from your phone. Check their terms before you sign up and make sure you have the right equipment.
You will need a valid photographic ID. A passport or driving licence is usually requested. But they may accept other forms if you don’t have a photographic ID to hand.
Just reach out to them and ask what they require. It may also be the case you need a document showing your name and address, but this was years ago when I was asked for this too.
That is pretty much it! You don’t have to buy anything specifically for it but I do strongly recommend using a laptop or computer if possible as you will get through the messages much quicker.
You don’t need anything flashy either, if you can run a browser like chrome, you are good to go!
Another tip with this, you need thick skin. You also need to not take things to heart and get caught up in their drama. Treat it like a job, don’t get feelings or attachments to people. This is an absolute no. They are not talking to you personally, they are talking to a persona.
Do I need to have previous experience?
No. Absolutely not. You just need to be able to talk and talk dirty with people through message. No one is going to read them or catch you doing them, so it’s completely anonymous.
Read a bit of adult fiction or erotica before and you will get the idea of how to talk dirty. There are YouTube videos out there teaching you how to do it. I will be releasing some posts over time so sign up and keep an eye on my social media to find out when they will go live.
I would recommend reading some stories about people who have done this for a living, watch youTube videos of the same as this will give you some confidence. Anyone can do this. It is easy enough.
We are all good at talking, so you should find it easy overall, you might just need to use your imagination a little when talking to them. If you are not sure, speak to someone you trust for tips and maybe a lesson on how to be enticing.
What do I need to be aware of?
You need to be aware of your mental health and also of those you are talking to. Be nice and respectful, they are lonely and in need of someone to talk to. so give them an interesting conversation at the same time as making money.
Don’t judge those you are speaking to either, we all come from different walks and have things going on. So be mindful and don’t pass judgement through your messages.
Each message will be different from the last. One minute you can be talking about what you had for tea, the next you are talking about being bent over with no underwear on. Every person you talk to will also be different, have different likes and dislikes and want to talk about different things.
Don’t copy and paste messages, it will make no sense for the next message. You will need to write out each message and tailor it to the person you are talking to.
Ask questions, keep them engaged. At the end of the day, the longer you can keep messages going on, the more money you can potentially make.
Make some free time for this at the weekends and evenings, if you have children, wait until they are in bed and asleep.This is always a busy time to get some messages done before bed. You might have a minimum you must do per week, so this is something to be mindful of and make sure you set the time each week to do this.
But also be mindful you need breaks from it too. It can be a bit much spending hour after hour doing it. Take regular breaks, stretch your legs and give yourself a moment to relax. This is the most important thing to remember doing.
Final Thoughts
There isn’t really much you need to become a sex text operator, just a device and good imagination and talking skills.
Just make sure you are taking good care of your mental wellbeing and setting aside time to get them done.
